WAB Alumni Visits-- Ben King, Lucy Reimers
Monday, August 28, 2006
This August, we were lucky enough to have several WAB alumni visit in time for the opening of our new High School Center:
Ben King recently finished his 1st year of studies in the London School of Economics, majoring in International Relations. After a too-brief visit to Beijing, he is off to Malaysia to visit and pursue a summer internship. During his visit to WAB, he visited some previous teachers, including Jose Tumba, Phil Cowell, and Martin Leicht. We were lucky enough to have Ben join us for the HS Opening Night as well!
Lucy Reimers left Beijing in 2003 and moved with her family to Stuttgart, Germany. She is about to enter Grade 11, but is in Beijing for a short Chinese language program. Lucy's timing was fortuitous, as during her visit to the new HS building, she ran into former WAB classmate and friend Amanda Teo. She also connected with former teachers Bob Blanch, Goldie Ahadu, Lynne McCone, Jose Tumba, Kun Kun Jiao, and Geraldine Watkins. Lucy was also a special guest to our HS Opening Night. She is off to vacation in Tibet before flying back home. Happy travels, Lucy!
If you are a member of the WAB Worldwide Community vacationing in Beijing, you are always welcome to visit and tour WAB's campus! Call WAB at (+ 8610) 8456-4155 and book a tour with Jason Williams, Alumni and Development Manager.
